Meet our Team

I have worked at Meridian now for almost 19 years! I began straight out of university, where I joined a small, specialised IT Recruitment Agency called Oscar Associates. That was in 2002. I left in October 2004 as their Head of Permanent Recruitment after a great couple of years there. Before that, I worked as a Barista in a National Trust café serving coffee and hot chocolate to old people with dogs and young people with kids. I now sit in between those two dynamics.

I enjoy the day-to-day challenges of recruitment, managing the team and relish the opportunity to grow and diversify the location here in Manchester. It doesn’t come without it’s challenges but that’s what keeps you on your toes! Meridian has a fantastic name within the built environment sector particularly here in the North West and it’s a privilege to support a range of national blue chip contractors and regional SMEs with their labour requirements. It’s a bit of a cliché but every day is different in recruitment.  

Outside of work I am a Dad to 2/4 kids (depending on what day it is) and a dog. When I am not keeping them alive, I like to play golf, watch all sports, continue my meteoric rise to becoming the best Crown Green Bowler on Earth, drink beer and wine and invest in fine single malt whiskies. I wax lyrical about climate change and I bake bread and cook as much as possible. I listen to music almost 100% of the time.
