Meridian Business Support is supporting our FE College in Cambridge in their search for an Assistant Head of Department for Construction & Building Services (Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades) .This college prides itself on excellence in education and provision of industry driven training. The role is a wonderful opportunity to join the leadership team at the College and share your knowledge and skills with the department.
The Role
This will be based across the Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses, supporting the the Head of Department to deliver outstanding leadership, management, and curriculum development. Your expertise will help shape an engaging learning experience that drives student success. Through exemplary teaching, learning, and assessment, you will inspire both staff and students in the following areas:
Construction Multi-Skills
Property Maintenance Operations
Bricklaying
You will have strong leadership capabilities, industry expertise, and a passion for Further Education, plus the below knowledge and experience:
Extensive teaching experience in Further Education (FE)
A deep understanding of the FE sector and relevant industry skills
Strong Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role
Exceptional communication, administration, and organisational skills
A recognised teaching qualification, such as DET, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or PGCE
