Electrical Technician

We’re looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone with a passion for electronics, wiring, and assembly work, who’s ready to develop their technical skills and grow within a specialist manufacturing environment.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, and testing of high-voltage electrical test equipment, working from technical drawings and engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture, assemble, and test electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Carry out soldering on electrical control boards and wiring harnesses.
  • Assemble, crimp, and route complex wiring harnesses.
  • Perform fault-finding and repairs on electrical and associated assemblies.
  • Maintain all workshop tools and equipment, reporting any issues to the Production Manager.
  • Ensure calibration of tools and equipment remains up to date and within specification.
  • Complete production job cards and all related quality documentation accurately.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Keep work areas organised, clean, and safe.
  • Use appropriate PPE as directed.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and support additional production activities as required.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification/time-served in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in an electronics or electrical assembly environment.
  • Skilled in wiring and soldering.
  • Experience building and testing harnesses.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage systems is advantageous.
  • Good IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.
