- Contract Duration: Initial period of 6 months

Job Description/Duties:
- Resolve Payroll Issues
- Complete Charity Review
- Daily Oversight of Outsourced Financial Services
- Setup and payment of suppliers
- Transactional procurement (requisitions and purchase orders)
- Payroll and treasury management
- Ensure Compliance with Statutory Returns:
- Month and year-end accounts, charity accounting, and VAT returns
- Support Financial Planning:
- Manage the balance sheet and cash flow
- Maintain Financial Integrity:
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and records of the clients financial position
- Debt Collection:
- Manage salary overpayment recoveries
- Budget Holder Training:
- Provide training on financial management topics such as cash management, debtors, and capital expenditure
- Financial Reconciliations and Advisory Services:
- Provide advice on technical matters such as VAT, capital, and lease accounting
To succeed in the role of Finance Lead, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Proven expertise in financial accounting, management accounting, and statutory reporting.
- Significant experience in managing financial accounts within a complex organisation, preferably within the healthcare or public sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing balance sheet integrity, payroll, payments, receivables, and financial systems.
- Strong track record of overseeing year-end accounts, audit processes, and statutory submissions.
- Experience in financial planning, cash flow management, and providing strategic financial advice.
- Familiarity with financial procedures and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities, able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in financial systems and software, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and integrity.
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing demands of a fast-paced working environment.
