Role Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment across branches and customer sites within the North Region. You will ensure all tasks are carried out safely, professionally, and efficiently while meeting business and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation Work:
Perform electrical installation tasks in compliance with current I.E.E. Regulations for Electrical Installations and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
Maintain, install, service, and repair electrical and mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and customer units to required legislative standards.
Reporting and Documentation:
Produce detailed reports and estimates for repair work, highlighting any safety concerns as necessary.
Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that work areas and company vehicles are kept in good condition.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all Risk Assessment/Method Statement (RAMS) requirements.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with managers, internal teams, customers, and stakeholders regarding timelines, quality, and service expectations.
Independence:
Work independently, managing personal workloads and on-call duties efficiently.
On-Call Duties:
Participate in a branch on-call rota, attending call-outs as required.
Medical Requirement:
This role requires passing a safety-critical medical examination.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
JIB Qualified Electrician with the ability to meet the requirements for an ECS Gold Card.
Practical experience in electrical engineering, particularly in installations, maintenance, and repair.
Full UK Driving Licence (a company van will be provided).
Preferred:
18th Edition qualification in Electrical Installations.
The successful candidate will have strong practical electrical engineering skills, be self-motivated, and able to work independently. You should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills and have a proactive approach to managing workloads and call-outs. A commitment to safety, professionalism, and high service standards is essential.
