About the Opportunity An established and expanding industrial manufacturer in the Southwest is seeking a dedicated Night Shift Production Manager to lead its evening operations. This leadership role forms part of the company's succession planning and growth strategy, offering the right candidate an exciting opportunity to influence operations at a senior level.
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and works in close collaboration with team leads across the facility. The successful candidate will play a critical part in maintaining safety, quality, and performance standards across the night shift.

This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and works in close collaboration with team leads across the facility. The successful candidate will play a critical part in maintaining safety, quality, and performance standards across the night shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of night production operations, particularly in melting and metal pouring processes
- Operate and maintain electric induction furnaces and related equipment
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality and compliance standards
- Serve as the primary contact during night hours for health & safety, HR issues, and general site coordination
- Plan shift activities, manage absences, and ensure effective team communication
- Support and enforce quality assurance procedures and equipment checks
- Assist with inventory tracking and communicate procurement needs to relevant departments
- Support the training and onboarding of new night shift staff
- Participate in recruitment for night shift personnel
- Provide detailed daily handover updates to senior management
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to operate induction furnaces and handle molten metal safely
- Solid knowledge of metallurgy and basic chemical processes related to iron casting
- Competence with IT systems, including Microsoft Office and production software (ERP/MRP)
- Experience using pyrometers, thermocouples, and other testing or measuring instruments
- A strong focus on safety, team leadership, and production efficiency
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Self-motivated with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on environments
- Capable of managing shift operations independently and effectively
