Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Role
 
As a Plumber working within the NHS, you will be a key member of our Estates and Facilities team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and infrastructure across our healthcare sites. Your expertise will directly contribute to a safe and functional environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and servicing of plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in heating, water, drainage, and sanitation systems.
  • Install new plumbing systems, including pipework, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and NHS standards.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including repairs to critical systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of work completed.
Liaise effectively with other trades and departments to minimize disruption to services.
 
What We’re Looking For
 
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification (essential).
  • Proven experience in a plumbing role, preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including Legionella control.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A proactive and professional approach to work.
