Research has shown that sitting down for eight hours at work is detrimental to health.

What’s more, even if you put in an hour or so at the gym a few times a week, it still may not be enough to offset any damage done whilst working in a busy office environment.

With some companies investing in gym balls, raising desks and our favourite, a human hamster wheel, there are still some simple things that office workers can do to counteract the effects of sitting stagnant five days a week.
